As a non-union mechanical contractor, we’re committed to investing in the future of our workforce through ACTA’s state-approved commercial HVAC and sheet metal apprenticeship program. This specialized training equips our employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the commercial HVAC and sheet metal trades.
In fact, during the 1990s and early 2000s, ACTA’s training classes and hands-on lab courses were held right in our own sheet metal fabrication facility in Merced, California—a testament to our long-standing dedication to craftsmanship and education.

We specialize in a variety of commercial, industrial and municipal heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. We also specialize in commercial refrigeration, boilers, chillers and architectural sheet metal projects. With over 40 years in the industry, Modern Air Mechanical has the experience and knowledge to build some of the most energy efficient, state-of-the-art HVAC systems in California. Our knowledgeable and professional staff is committed to providing timely, professional services and efficient project management. FABRICATION
We can serve all of your sheet metal fabrication needs with quality workmanship in galvanized, aluminum, stainless steel and copper. Our fabrication specialists operate our nearly 25,000 square foot sheet metal fabrication facility using state-of-the-art equipment! We have a large, secured facility in Merced, California, enabling us to store large quantities of equipment and sheet metal products for your next custom sheet metal order!
